Aladdin Resort & Desert Passage Shopping Experience

This Morrocan-themed gambling, retail and entertainment caravanserai rose from the desert to open in August - a mere 28 months after the original was imploded. Sporting 2600 guest rooms and the usual Las Vegas amenities (including 500,00 square feet of immersive retail), what stands the Aladdin apart is the posh 15,000 square feet London Club gambling salon. Modeled after the outfit's exclusive European locations, the Aladdin's London Club is secluded from the rest of the casino, but open to anyone willing to raise the stakes and order their liquor shaken, not stirred.

Voyage of Discovery

This comprehensive exhibition looks at the landscape photographs of Ray K Metzker. Presenting over 100 prints, 'Voyage of Discovery' illustrates the extensive range of Metzker's creative investigations in landscape photography. Previously known for his bold, urban images, he turned to capturing natural landscapes in 1985 after an autumn trip to Tuscany. Hooked on capturing the mystique of the natural, Metzker began to perceive his subjects as metaphors for the human situation, which has led him to often blur the distinction between his subjects and the natural background.

Nacional 27

Although many places offer eating, drinking and dancing, few do all three really well. Nacional is an exception. The '27' in the name represents the number of Central and South American nations from which its draws its Nuevo Latino cuisine. Executive chef Randy Zweiban's menu highlights flavourful Argentinean Pampas steaks that are leaner than domestic cuts. Drinks run to Cuban mojitos, Peruvian pisco sours and Brazilian caipirinhas. As dinner service winds down, the centre of the dining room becomes a dance floor with flashing lights, hot rhythms and high-energy dancing.
