Green Day
Californian punk might seem an oxymoron to some, but Green Day are proud to have started life in that rather recherché scene. The 'silly little band from the Berkeley-Bay area', as frontman Billie Jose Armstrong once called it, is now well established having steadily built up a devoted following especially since their 1992 album, 'Kerplunk'. Their 1998 album 'Nimrod' was the recording that brought them to a wider public. Tickets for the show in Lisbon's biggest downtown auditorium can be bought at the Coliseu ticket office and also at the ubiquitous Multibanco cash machines, if you can cope with reading a little basic Portuguese and pressing the right buttons.
